Last Night of The Proms

Hello Readers,

So after many years of trying my mum and I were very lucky and finally won the ballot to attend The Last Night of The Proms at the Royal Albert Hall!

We were very excited and dressed up accordingly to the festivities! It was a fantastic night! It was everything and more and all we had ever wished for! The atmosphere was euphoric and we had a great time singing along to the prom classic songs!

This was definitely something ticked off my bucket list!!

I'm a qualified Music Therapist!

Where my journey began and finished!

Hello Readers,

So I haven’t been very good at keeping up with my blog posts! I have been rather distracted with my studies of a Masters Degree in Music Therapy! However this has now finished and I can proudly say I have passed! I am a proud owner of a Masters Degree!

It hasn’t been the easiest of journeys, but somehow I’ve managed to do the extra work and finish all assignments, the big one being the dissertation, all in time to graduate with my fellow Music Therapists! The support from them has been truly amazing and a huge congratulations to them as well!

I first began this course in September 2014 and I was very excited. It was also the month of meeting Terry for the first time! I was knocked for seven when my Dad suddenly passed away in December of that year and I felt my whole world had come crashing down! I took time off from Uni, even though I’d only just began, and with the support of my Mum and Terry (who is now my fiancé!) I returned to Uni and finished my first year!

I am now feeling so much better and I am starting to feel stronger than ever! The support from my friends and family, mainly my Mum and Terry has been amazing and I definitely couldn’t have done it without them. The consultants at the Brompton have been fantastic too and without their help, I wouldn’t have been able to study for this Masters, let alone start my new career.

So here’s to my Mum, Fiancé and the team at the Royal Brompton Hospital… Thank you! Now it’s time to start my new job as a qualified Music Therapist and plan my Wedding!!

We're Engaged!

Hello Readers,

So after the last post, it's been a hard few days for me and I've struggled a lot health wise and in general. The PH community have also been rocked by the loss of a dear friend and PH'er who lost her battle on the 5th. But in true PH style and spirit we keep strong together.

However, something happened over the weekend....

I'm very excited and ecstatic to announce Terry and I are engaged! It was a surprising proposal on Saturday night, just before we went out for a meal, he went down on one knee! I was very emotional but of course I said yes!!

I can't wait for what the future holds for us, but I will always know whatever I have to go through with my health and life in general he will be by my side, as I will be beside his! Together I know we'll get through anything! I'm so thankful to have met him and it's true, when you've found 'The One' you just know! He's made me one very happy young lady and I think I've made him a very happy young man! Haha!

I know my family and friends are delighted for us and I just wish that my father was here to hear this news, but I know he'll be looking down on us proudly and will definitely have given his blessing!

I'm still waiting for results on my test results from the hospital, and hopefully I'll be able to find something out soon and see what is going to happen next. Still got my fingers crossed for iron infusion and not change of tablets!

In the meantime, a toast to absent friends! And here's to the future together of becoming a Mrs! Let the countdown to the Wedding Day begin!!

"cheers!"

Happy New Year

Hello Readers,

So here it is, 2016 and my first post of the year!

Firstly, what a year 2015 has been! Where have the days gone?! It’s been a good year, filled with lots of good memories, holidays, celebrations and birthdays! 2015 has been a good year for my music business, Treble Tess Music. It continues to grow, and I have met many wonderful students. It's also been the start of my final year of my MA degree in Music Therapy and I've also loved MD'ing and being involved in the shows with KYDS over the year! Most of all, spending it with Terry, and celebrating our Anniversary together! It’s been hard without my Dad, but I know he’s always with us and watching over us! My health has been pretty stable over the year, with a few episodes in A&E, which is to be expected, but Doctors have been happy with me at appointments and I’ve managed to get through the year with only one chest infection! Amazing! The PH conference was a big event in my life and one, which I learnt so much about this heart condition. Yes we’re incurable, but the hope and research is just mind-blowing!

Unfortunately, after a good year of health, now it isn’t at it’s best and over the last month, it hasn’t got better, especially with the busy schedule I’ve had. My breathlessness and leg pain have been hell!! As always, I cover it well with a smile and determination that I won’t let PH get the better of me. Thankfully I’ve got my Cardiology appointment coming up this month, so maybe they’ll be able to shed light on why I’m going through such a bad spell and hopefully I’ll be right as rain again, well for me anyway!! Anyway, I’ll keep positive and know things can only get better!

On a happier note, I had a great Christmas and was spoilt with 2 amazing meals, Christmas Day and Boxing Day! It was a very busy period, with family coming to ours on Christmas Day and then onto Terry’s Dad’s for Boxing Day. Their business, Wombat Fitness is going very well! I received some great presents and I’m looking forward to redeeming the Experience Days sometime in the Spring/Summer.

I then had a couple of days to rest and then it was New Year’s Eve! Terry and I travelled to stay with friends for a Southampton Uni reunion. It was great to catch up with everyone again and it was a rather awesome night!

One of my Christmas presents were tickets to see Disney on Ice at the O2! Wow, what a show! It was fantastic and I loved singing along to the Disney songs (much to Terry’s delight……. Haha!!) A truly super day and then onto a Friend’s leaving do, as he’s off to travel Asia for a few months! (*and breathe*) Now to get back to teaching and to get this Dissertation done to finish this Master’s Degree for May!!! 2016 I don't know what you've got in store, but I'm going to make it a rather good and a memorable one!!!

Thanks for reading and may you all have a Happy and Prosperous 2016!
